Show 11: Blossom Bawls While Ruff Has a Ball With Balls

Ruff's latest invention was Ruffball! A ball, and a sport, that both still needed some improvement – and that somehow involved sausage!

To help him develop the sport, Ruff sent Liza and Talia to work with a physics teacher to figure out what the Ruffball was good for. They determined that the Ruffball was odd, then made a chart comparing the properties of different kinds of balls. After deciding it was good for throwing, they made up a fun game using the Ruffball. The rules: roll the Ruff ball with your head, bounce on a bouncy ball, dribble, jump, and shoot, all in as short a time as possible. Sound easy?

Sterling went to learn everything he could about baseball, in one afternoon. After reviewing the rules of the game, he went to the clubhouse and put on his very own uniform. He had batting practice, infield practice, and even umpire practice. But it turned out he wasn't really there to play baseball, but to do the play-by-play for that night's game! Up in the booth, Sterling called the game, offering a lot of useful information. It was an exciting game with awesome announcing!

Back at Studio G, Bethany, Isaac, and Brian tried their hand at the Halftime Quiz Show and got exactly half of the questions right, for 25 points.

Ruff surprised the FETCHERs and had them all go play a game of Ruffball before they met back at the studio for the Triumph Tally:

• 75 points: for their expert ball-handling skills and scale of bounciness

Sterling scored:

• 75 points: for getting the basics of baseball and calling strikes like a pro

BUT: "Is that all the points a dog can give?"

Sterling earned himself 15 big bonus points for hustling while chasing ground balls in the infield! With a total of 90 points, he earned himself 2 tickets to a Red Sox game!
