Show Summary: Season 4

Show 13: Is it a Bird? Is it a Plane? It's...Ruffmanman!

Ruff's nephew, Ultra Glen (as he insisted on being called) learned there was an evil villain named Gamma Ray Person, out to destroy all life on Earth using Gamma Rays. Glen told Ruff (or Ruffman Man according to Glen) and his SuperFETCHers they had to help!

Glen assigned cool superhero code names and costumes to all the FETCHers. Talia and Isaac were the Incredible Hawks, Liza and Sterling were the Pit Viper Twins, and Brian and Bethany were the, um, Indestructible Butterflies. They all transformed into their alter egos and hopped on the subway to go meet an expert on electromagnetic radiation.

She told them about the electromagnetic spectrum and how it includes visible light, plus stuff with much higher and much lower wavelengths that we can't see. She also explained how some animals can sense other types of electromagnetic waves. Snakes can sense infrared, so the pit viper twins got an infrared camera. Hawks have much better vision than humans so the incredible hawks got binoculars. Butterflies can see ultraviolet light, so the indestructible butterflies got a uv flashlight. Armed with their newfound super powers, the fetchers went to look for clues left by Gamma Ray Person.

They traipsed all over town using their amazing abilities to find information about Gamma Ray Person and his plans to use gamma rays, with the most energy (and shortest wavelength) of all electromagnetic radiation. After working their way up the spectrum, they found themselves back at the lab to use the WorldWide Telescope. They entered the coordinates they had collected, and found Gamma Ray Person – on the star Crab Nebula! But it turned out GR didn't stand for Gamma Ray, but Grandma Ruffman! She was trying to use gamma rays to make a super strong oven.

Once they knew it was all just a misunderstanding, the SuperFETCHers headed back to Studio G for the Triumph Tally:

The Pit Viper Twins scored:

  • 85 points: for using their infrared and x-ray vision

The Indestructible Butterflies scored:

  • 85 points: for using microwaves and UV light

The Incredible Hawks scored:

  • 85 points: for using radio waves and superior vision

BUT: "Is that all the points a dog can give?"

Liza earned 5 bonus points for staying calm when her tail got stuck in the door. With a total of 90 points, she won a chicken sandwich from Grandma Ruffman!
