- Do you think you’d like to try working in or around your own house, or for other people?
- What do you think are some of the responsibilities involved with making your own money? Do you think you’re ready to handle these responsibilities?

Remember:
-- All jobs require responsibility, but some more than others. Be honest with yourself and your child when determining which types of jobs he or she is ready for.
--Extra chores around the house, above and beyond what you expect in exchange for an allowance, can be a good way to introduce a child to the concept of working to earn money.
