Spelling Bee Big Shot
Elizabeth, 10, of Phoenix, Arizona
Posted April 2, 2008

On February 11, The county of Maricopa had a district spelling bee to determine who would go on to the state spelling bee. The first out was Elizabeth. After thinking on whether to spell "protein" with an "ei" or an "ie", she spelled, "Po" she knew she was out, because one of the spelling bee rules is that you have to stick with your first spelling. She recovered in time to correctly spell, "protein" and walked off the stage.

After more than four hours of grueling spelling, the last two left battled against each other for almost an hour. They spelled words like "Mucilaginous " and "flotilla" and finally, "Spontaneous." Both girls were happy to be done. How did they feel? Well, they felt "like I could conquer the world!"

Unfairness by American/Canadian Government
Fatima, 10, of Brampton
Posted April 2, 2008

The Americans/Canadians wouldn't let anyone get in their country! So if you wanted to go to Disney Land for the summer and live in a different country you can't unless you have visa! They say they already have so many people and they don't want anymore people coming in their country. It all started when the population went overboard.

Some Mexicans or people who arrive in Mexico sneak into America/Canada just to live there! You can only come into America/Canada if you have an visa before the law was made.

That is soooo unfair. If you do break into the countries, you'll get fined and returned to back home or go to jail if you complain. These countries were known as free and promised lands, but now they are highly strict, unfair, protected and difficult lands. May God break this horrible law.

Kailyn, 10, of Mansfield

The driver of a tour bus that flipped on busy QEW, spilling forty-eight Mexican tourists from their seats, has been ordered to a Burlington court next month charged with careless driving. OPP Const. Graham Williamson today said investigators charged Drago, fifty-nine, of Mississauga. Investigators interviewed witnesses and evidence after the large highway coach went out of control east of Appleby Line around 5:10 P.M. Monday.

The bus, owned by R and J McMyan Leasing, was en route back to Toronto from Niagara Falls in heavily congested traffic when it slid into a ditch, rolled onto its side and smashed down a fence. Passengers crawled outside after kicking out the windshield and passed children through a roof hatch. Williamson said thirteen were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries.

Did you know how much Hannah Montana makes each concert? $1 million!!!!!! (*WOW*) I mean, come on, $1 million? She must be the richest 15-year-old on Earth. I'm not trying to be mean or anything but, she's a normal person like us with a great voice. Just because she's FAMOUS doesn't mean that they should pay her that much!! I hope she gives money to poor people! She should!

And did you know that Hannah Montanas wig costs bout $1 million! WOW! I mean I would love to be her! But I haven't even heard about her giving to these people that need homes and people who have kids. I just can't believe that she's my favorite star and stuff and I love her to death!! But I'm (MAD) because she doesn't help the poor! She's lucky sitting up in her little castle and laying in her lovely bed and people serving her nice meals.

Latest news! Did you hear about Miley hanging with Brittany Spears! (OMG)! Miley Cyrus got bangs!
