Student Art Show Wows Town!
by Hannah, Age 11, of Cedar Falls, IA
POSTED June 13th, 2007
The whole of St. Patrick's School put on an art show. The art show was held at the Cedar Falls Financial Center. The teachers sent invitations. It took place on April 24th.
They did this because they wanted to show family and friends their beautiful creations. Every student pitched in to set up for the show. They started by picking out pieces of art. Then, they typed up a report about their art. It took days to get ready. Unit C picked out their art which was underwater paintings by artists like Winslow Homer, Georgia O'Keefe, Victorian Homes, and Huichol Indians.
Other students in Units E, A, B, and D had other categories. Unit D
did stamp art like one did the vCubs sign but the S was backwards! :)
Everyone in the school had beautiful creations. Some Huichol Indian art
was gappy and not very pretty. Everyone did their best.
The prettiest arts in Unit C were Huichol Indians, Victorian
Homes, and Georgia O'Keefe. Anyways that's an opinion not fact. The
fact is all arts were beautiful. Thanks to all the art teachers!
