To Mister Rogers' Neighborhood: When I was first learning to read and write I sent Mr. Rogers a letter. I think it was the first letter I ever sent to anyone. I received a hand-written reply and an autographed photo. My parents made sure to remind me how special I was to get that letter and helped me frame the photo. That letter made a huge impact on my world view and my childhood. I have since read that Mr. Rogers answered every child personally.
