Frontier Girl d) Yes
Girls living on the prairie were interested in the same kinds of toys and games as town and city girls. Often, however, their families had little money to buy fancy toys, so little girls, sometimes with the help of their mothers or older sisters, played “dress-up” or dolls with objects they found around the house and in the yard. Frontier life, though, didn’t mean you neglected your learning.

How often would frontier children go to school?

a) From September to June, Monday through Friday.

b) From November to March or April, and then from June to July.

c) The whole year round.

d) Sometimes during the day and sometimes at night.
