An interview with Max Morath

Very few. If you were wealthy, by 1900, you probably had electric lights, a telephone, an indoor bathroom with hot running water, and central heat. You almost certainly had a piano, maybe an automobile. But that's the wealthy. In 1900, for example, most homes were heated with a coal or wood-burning stove.
