PBS - Zoboomafoo: Animal Alphabet

To play this game, you will need:

Netscape Navigator 3 or above or Internet Explorer 4 or above.
Javascript Enabled.

Activity Instructions:

First, click on one of the animal images on the left. The first letter of the name of each animal will appear, giving you a very good clue to its name.
Then, try to find the name of this animal by clicking on one of the names in the list on the right.
When you find the right answer, a small print button appears next to the animal's name. By clicking again on the animal's name, you will access an enlarged drawing of this animal which you can print and have fun coloring.
When you have matched all names on this page, click on the "More" arrow on the top right of the screen to play with some more intriguing animals.

Enabling Javascript:

If you are using Netscape:
Select Edit from the main menu, then from there, Preferences. In the dialogue box that pops up, click on Advanced from the left-hand pane. When you click on Advanced, the content of the dialogue box on the right side changes. You should see an option that says "Enable JavaScript." Click on this to activate it.

If you are using Internet Explorer:
Under Edit, select Preferences. In the dialogue box that opens, select Web Browser from the left-hand side. Below this should be Web Content. Click on that. On the right side, in the middle, is a section called Page Content. One of the options is called "Enable Scripting." Click on this to enable scripting.
