a plastic knife for spreading the grout onto the pot

Check with a grown-up before you start this.
First, you need to decide on a design for your mosaic. Your design could be a picture, a pattern, or you could make your mosaic from objects that are all the same color or the same size.
Spread some newspaper on your work surface.
Spread a small amount of the tile grout onto the outside of the pot with the plastic knife. You'll want to work on one small area of the pot at a time because the grout dries pretty quickly.
Press your objects into the grout.
When you press the objects into the grout, you don't have to leave them there. You can take them back out and you're left with the shape it makes.
Now move on to the next section of the pot.
When you've covered the entire pot, let it dry overnight.
You can plant a flower in your pot and give it to a friend as a present!
