What you need for this ZOOMdo:
  • an orange or lemon
  • cinnamon
  • ground nutmeg
  • ribbon
  • whole cloves
  • tape
  • small bowl
  • toothpick

What you do for this ZOOMdo:

  1. Take some masking tape and tape up your fruit so you'll remember not to put any cloves there. When you put on the tape divide your fruit into four quarters.
  2. Press the whole cloves into your fruit. Don't put any through your tape. If you're having trouble get a toothpick to make the holes before you put the cloves in.
  3. Put your whole cloves in each section. You can try them close together or spread apart. After you do that, take off the tape.
  4. Put the cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl and roll the fruit around in the bowl.
  5. Take your ribbon and wrap it around where you had your tape and make a bow at the top.
  6. Put it somewhere and forget it for a couple of weeks. Or just hang it and watch it shrivel.
  7. After the pomander has hardened for a few weeks, put it somewhere you want to smell heavenly. (Like your sock drawer!)
