A race to categorize!

This game is for 4 or more players and should be played in an open area.

First, you need to make category cards. You can do this by writing category names like "school" or "doctor's office" on individual index cards.

You'll also need:

a box full of lots of different kinds of things that fit into your different categories. (Be sure to ask permission before borrowing stuff from around the house.)

a stopwatch, or a watch with a second hand

Each team gets a card with a different category.

One player from each team must run to the box, pick out one item that fits their team's category, and run back to their team.

Then, the next person in line goes.

So, say your category was school. Then players on your team could pick up a pencil, notebook, or lunch box. But, they wouldn't want to pick up a stethoscope.

At the end of 60 seconds, the team with the most items that correctly fit their category wins.
