Nim
Sent in by: Kayla of Milwaukee, WI

"Nim," is a German word for "take."

Here's a great game to play when you're at a restaurant waiting for your food to come.

This game is for two players.

First, set up nine pennies like this:

XX - two in the first row

XXX -three in the second row

XXXX - and four in the third row

To play, take turns removing pennies. You can take as many pennies as you'd like, but they can only be from one row.

So during your turn, you could take one or two from the first row, or you could take one, two, or three from the second, or one, two, three, or four from the third row.

The person who is left with the last penny loses!
