How to do it

1. Put the toilet paper roll down on a table, so that you can roll it back and forth like a wheel.
2. Unwrap the toilet paper and pull on the end of the paper. Which direction do you think the roll will go? It depends on how you pull on the end of the toilet paper.
3. If you want to make the toilet paper roll towards you, pull the end at a small angle, so that the toilet paper is close to the table.
4. If you want to make the toilet paper roll away from you, pull the end at a greater angle, so that it is much higher than the table.
5. Do you think that the table has something to do with how the toilet paper moves? What would happen if you dragged the toilet paper along something rougher than the table, like a rug? Do you think it will be tougher for the toilet paper to move against the rug?
