How many different types of plants can you grow?
- seeds
- paper or Styrofoam cups
- stones
- dirt
- You can try this with tomatoes, sunflower seeds, squash, or other kinds of seeds you find in your kitchen.
- To plant seeds, first, poke a hole in the bottom of a paper or Styrofoam cup. You can also use a clay pot with a hole.
- Then, put a couple of small stones in the bottom. This is so the extra water can drain out.
- Then, fill the container 3/4 of the way with dirt.
- Next, make a hole in the dirt that is large enough to cover the seed, about 2 centimeters or the tip of your pinkie
- Drop in the seed and cover it with dirt.
- Water the dirt until water drips out of the hole at the bottom.
- Plant your other kinds of seeds in different cups and label the cups. Measure the height of your plants every two weeks. Make a data chart and keep track of how tall your plants get after 2 weeks, 4 weeks, and so on.

Well I took a week to measure and grow some seeds wrapped up in a paper towel in a zip lock bag and here are their names: corn seed, pinto bean, sunflower seed, and the mustard seed. The corn seed was 10mm. when I first got it then it turned out to be 105mm!!! The pinto bean grew 10mm.-50mm, the sunflower seed grew 10mm.-82mm. And the mustard seed was 1mm.-53mm.!!

When I made the plant project (when you put seeds on the staples and watch them grow inside a baggie) they grew out of the baggie I planted pumpkin seeds and I hope that I'll get some pumpkins next year

My science teacher handed out 10 radish seeds to every group of people (2 people in a group). We put 5 of the seeds on a paper towle in a peachery dish (the towle was dry), then we put the other 5 on a paper towle in a peachery dish (this towle was labled wet)... It was an experiment of wich seeds would grow... the dry?.. or the wet?.. of caurse the wet ones grew... Every day we had to add as much water, to the wet seeds, as we wanted... You can tri this... It will only take around 3 days for the seeds to "germinate" (start)... You need: -10 radish seeds (or your choice) -2 plates (not paper, but plastic will work) -1 dropper (to add the water and record easy, exaple: day 1 added 5 droppers of water). -3 Alot of care... This process will work in 5 & higher days... Good luck!

I planted some strange melon seed and it greww a lot! But when it grew about 5 inches, the bottom of the stem got too skinny for water to go through, so it died.
