More fizzy fun and games: build a submarine that will sink and come back to the surface.
Materials

Materials Needed


  • small soda bottle
  • marbles
  • baking soda
  • vinegar

Instructions


  1. Using a small soda bottle, marbles, and baking soda and vinegar, build a submarine that will sink and come back to the surface. The one that does this the fastest wins.
  2. By the way, you can't touch the submarine once you put it in the water, but you can leave part of the submarine at the bottom of the water.

When I did the submarine race my submarine would not sink. I put rocks, vinegar, and baking soda in the bottle. I then sealed the bottle. What did I do worng?

Instead of squezing the air out of my bottle I attached a balloon on top of the bottle and I used fishing waits and marbles to sink it.
