Step 1: PrepareNarrator: Sometimes your biggest challenge will be finding the time to prepare. And while the urge to wing it is strong, resist and you'll be rewarded.
To start preparing, review your selected activity and ask:
- Does this look like fun and something my kids can do?
- What materials do I need?
- What's the science behind the activity?
Once you've decided an activity looks good, try it! There's no better way to prepare than by testing the activity yourself.
As you test, ask:
- Are the directions clear?
- Are there places where my kids might need help?
Sometimes after trying an activity you'll decide it isn't right for your group. No problem. There are over 80 other ZOOM activities to try. Find these and other activity ideas in the Resources section of this training.
