Give each child a print-out of the blank diary page and ask them to make up a story
about something that happened to them yesterday. Encourage children to be as wild and
imaginative as they want to be. To get them started, you might read them a book like
Max Found Two Sticks by Brian Pinkney and/or Where the Wild Things Are by
Maurice Sendak.
