Cooking
with Abuela
In the deliciously fun "Cooking with Abuela" activity, you and your
child will experience the joys of cooking with Maya and Miguel's grandmother, Abuela Elena. Throughout
the game's 7 recipe activities, your child will have fun and learn about cooking and measuring. Explore
the environment to find the ingredients on the recipe card; and find "mystery ingredients" with
clues from Abuela. This activity may be played in English or Spanish, and on an easy or hard level. Audio
support and two levels of English/Spanish language will help to successfully guide and encourage new and
second language learners. At the end of the activity, a funny cooking animation plays and your child will
be able to print a recipe.
