These were games that Sioux children played. Moccasin was a game that the entire family would play when it was too cold or wet to play outside. Three moccasins were set out and a pebble was placed in the toe of one. Someone had to guess which held the pebble. Riding stick horses was something that very young children did until they were ready to ride their own horse. The Native Americans had variations on several popular ball games later played by white children, such as stickball.
