This would be a pretty typical school day on the prairie. Sometimes, the older students would help the teacher by tutoring the younger students if she was busy with others. Then there were always the everyday chores of helping to heat the schoolhouse, feed the animals that brought you to school, and toting water for drinking and washing. Sounds just like home! | ||||
