Introduction
It was a combination of serendipity, good timing and perhaps a little luck of the Irish that brought together Entara and Mike Young Productions to create Jakers!. Entara, the UK-based company that owns the rights to the property, was looking for just the right producer to help bring Piggley and Raloo Farm to life.As this was Entara's first foray into children's programming, the company was beginning to build relationships in the animation production community. Enter Welsh native/American citizen Mike Young, founder of the company that bears his name and the creator of Superted, a phenomenally popular crime fighting teddy-bear character that captivated the European kids' market (as well as the rest of the world) in the 1980s.
The two companies met in London and quickly realized they shared a passion for developing evergreen children's programs with quality content and global appeal - programming that will remain timeless through generations.
