Introduction

Each episode of Jakers! is set in two distinct places and times: The most significant location, and the heart of the show, is Raloo Farm in the rural Irish village of Tara in the 1950s. Here, young Piggley Winks and his friends have all kinds of adventures (and the occasional misadventure!)-and in the process, they learn the important lessons of life.

The beginning and end of each episode take place in a modern-day intergenerational household where Piggley Winks-now "Grandpa Piggley"-Lives with his daughter, granddaughter and twin grandsons in a bustling American city. As Grandpa Piggley tells the stories of his youth to his young "grandpigs," he transports everyone back to his childhood home on Raloo Farm.
