Explore the World
Use the creature detector to search the map for places to visit. As you explore the continents and the oceans of the earth, you will see different habitats that you can visit. When you find a habitat you would like to go to, click on it to begin your creature search in that habitat. There are birds, reptiles, insects, fish and, of course, lots of mammals to find on the site.
Search for Creatures
Each habitat has at least one creature to find. Some habitats have many creatures! And just like in the natural world, some creatures are easier to find than others.
Collect and Save
Start your own creature collection today! Hidden on the site are over 200 hundred film clips to earn! Each animal you find has at least one film clip that can be collected. Many creatures have several film clips you can unlock and save to your own movie maker.
Some video clips have to be earned by playing games and successfully completing them and others are earned by just finding the creature. You earn points for each set of video clips you collect and save.
Note: During peak traffic times (or if you are using a low bandwidth connection) you may experience some pauses when playing back video clips. Let the clip playback entirely once. This will load it into your player. Then, click the play button to view the loaded clip again. Playback of loaded video clips should be smooth and uninterrupted for the rest of your site visit.
Creature Adventure Missions
Hidden throughout the site are thirty-six (36) special trophy pieces. You can find these hidden pieces by selecting a mission to go on and finding each mission’s creatures.
As you find the correct creatures in your mission, you will earn the missing pieces to that mission’s trophy. You can change your mission at any time. But you only earn a mission’s trophy pieces and mission points when you find the creatures included in your selected mission.
Clubhouse Clues
Allison is in the Creature Clubhouse with Ttark to help you on your creature adventures. Need to find a specific creature but don’t know where to look? Use your research skills and check out the Creature Fact Book for clues. Allison and Ttark have lots of great creature information to share (and some fun games and videos, too!).
Earn Points
There are lots of different ways to earn points! You can earn points for each film clip you view and save, for each trophy piece you find, for each mission you complete, for each movie you make and for every game you play. Only logged-in users can earn points!
Point Values
Each Saved Video Clip | 50 Points
|
Each Medallion Piece | 100 Points
|

|
Each Submitted Film | 200 Points

You only earn points for saving a video clip and completing a creature adventure mission once. But you can earn points for every new movie you submit and every game you play each and every time you play it.
Make Your Own Movies
As soon as you earn a clip and save it to your Creature Movie Maker, it is available to use in your own movie. The Creature Movie Maker lets you make your own movies with creature video clips, cool animations, word art and pictures of Chris, Martin, Allison and Ttark. And best of all, each time you make a new creature movie and submit it, you earn points.
Share Your Movies
Each film you make can be shared with friends and family by E-mail. Select the movie you want to E-mail, click the share button, enter the person’s name and E-mail address and a link to your movie will be sent to your friend or family member.
You can also share your movies with all PBS Kids Go! users by submitting it to be posted on the site. Just select the movie you want to post on the site and click the submit button.
