International Fair Features Fantastical Inventions

Do you ever wish you had a bed that made itself? Enrico Berruti did, and then he did something to make his dream come true. The engineer from Italy invented a self-making bed. It uses tubes along the side and straps to pull up the sheets and straighten them out. He said he invented it because he was too lazy to make his bed.

Berruti was just one of hundreds of inventors at the International Exhibition of Invention in Geneva, Switzerland last week. It was an exciting show full of great new ideas.

Ryan Liu from Taiwan was there with some cute colorful toys. They hook up to your computer and then change their faces depending one what kind of instant messages you receive. There was also a Chinese chess set for people who can't see, and a suitcase that turns into a desk for business travelers. Two university students from Iran even brought a crystal and concrete concoction that's twice as strong as the steel and cement that's used to hold train tracks in place.

Inventors came from 44 countries altogether. It was an opportunity for them to show off their creations, and maybe sell them to corporations that are looking for new moneymaking ideas. So maybe someday you will never have to make your bed again!

I'm Isaac and that's what happened in technology this week.
