Kid Inventors Compete in Invent-A-Toy World Games
Have you ever had a good idea for a toy? If so, you're not alone. Over 10,000 kids submitted their toy ideas to this year's Invent-A-Toy World Games!
There were three grand-prize winners. Edsel Boler from Richardson, Texas won for his invention call xoomball. It's a game that uses ping-pong balls and air pumps.
One of the grand-prize winners is only four years old! Brook Rogers, a kindergartener from Wilton, California. She invented a toy campfire cookout for kids who want to camp when it's raining outside.
Russell Moore from Turnbull, Connecticut invented a Waterworks Building Toy. It's a series of tubes and connectors that kids can put together and fill up with water.
The three grand-prize winners each got a $5,000 US savings bond from Kids For Kids, a company that gets ideas for toys from kids and helps bring them to toy companies. The kids also get help from experts to create and sell their toys. What toys would you like to invent?
I'm Isaac and that's what happened in Tech this week!
