A Day In The Life
Native American Boy a) Yes
Teepees were made of tall wooden poles covered with buffalo hides that kept out the heat and the cold. The teepee was small and had only one room. A small opening with a flap served as the entrance. If you lived in a teepee, you could look up and see the stars at night through the top openings before you fell asleep. You might also be thinking about the chores you had to do the next day.

If you were a Sioux Indian boy what were those chores likely to be?

a) Sweeping the floors, ironing clothing, and washing dishes.

b) Scratching the master’s head, shooing flies away from dinner guests, and picking up the mistress’s keys.

c) Feeding the livestock, getting water for cooking and cleaning, sewing clothes.

d) Tending the ponies, trapping game, fishing, and helping to hunt buffalo.
