Magical Musical Tour

The latest high tech version of the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus was introduced in Las Vegas last week. The bus is a full-blown recording studio, with state of the art video and sound equipment on board. Best of all, it will be hitting the road again and could be coming to a school near you.

The bus is named in honor of John Lennon, who was one of the original Beatles. Since 1998, a Lennon bus has gone to high schools, colleges, festivals and concerts. Kids can climb on board the Lennon bus and learn about how a professional studio works.

There are musical instruments, microphones, computers, and even video equipment. The bus is used in all kinds of programs too. Its one-day music video production program gives kids a chance to create and produce original songs.

Pop singer Natasha Bedingfield said she thinks the bus is a great idea because it shows kids how music is made. It will tour for 10 and one half months throughout the United States and Canada. There are plans in the future to bring the mobile studio to Japan and even India.

John Lennon died in 1980, but his widow, Yoko Ono Lennon, let his name be used for the bus because she thinks it's an idea he would have loved.

I'm Isaac and that's what happened in the Arts this week!
