Pottermania Strikes Again
There was good and bad news for Harry Potter fans this week. Which do you want to hear first? Well, the good news is that the latest book "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" will be released on, July 21 at 12:01am! The bad news is this will be the very last one - EVER!
News of the release of the seventh and final book in the series set off a new round of Pottermania as fans preordered the book immediately. In fact, it was the number one seller on the Amazon and Barnes & Noble Web sites last week, even though buyers will have to wait five months to get their copies!
On the Leaky Cauldron, a Potter fan Web site, fans shared their joy and sadness over the news that the final book is on its way. But, while the fantasy series may be coming to an end, fans promised that Pottermania would never die. After so many years writing about the boy wizard, even author JK Rowling confessed that she is unsure how to feel about a world without Harry and Hogwarts.
Rowling has offered a few hints on what will happen in "Deathly Hallows." As the scary title suggests, it possible that one or more characters won't live to see the last page! Could it be Ron or Hermione or (gasp!) Harry himself? You may be dying to know, but you'll have to wait until July to find out!
I'm Isaac and that's what happened in arts and tech this week.
