Wakka Wakka Wakka! Pac-Man Champion Chomps Competition

A classic video game has a new champion. Carlos Daniel from Pachuca, Mexico is officially the world's greatest Pac Man player. He's been gobbling dots and dodging ghosts since 1986. Those 21 years of gaming paid off after 16 hours of tournament play in the first ever Xbox 360 Pac Man World Championship. He won an X-box 360 and a sandwich per week for 26 years from Quizno's who sponsored the event.

Carlos beat Robert Glashuettner, from Vienna, Austria. Robert took second place. The tournament started online with over 30,000 players. In the finals, they played a new version of the game called Pac Man Championship. It was created by Toru Iwatani of Japan. Toru created the original Pac man in 1981.

Billy Mitchell from Florida was another famous finalist in the competition. In 1999, Billy was the first person to get a perfect score. He played a six-hour game and scored 3,333,360 points. In Pac Man, practice really does make perfect.
